The Girls and Basketball
My chicas are "BALLING"! My girls are playing basketball and they are loving it! They have the long of athletics honest because Chance and I both enjoy sports. He played basecall, basketball and football. I ran track but played basketball recreationally. The fact that they like sports makes their daddy light up. I love to see that they are improving at every game! My chicas are growing up so fast :(
Courtney's basketball coach quit. Coach "Grand-dad" as he likes to be called took all of the fun out of the game for the six year old. They were so afraid. He tried to run plays and set picks. Just too much. The last straw was his mouth. Practice is only an hour. In this hour, you can get but so much done. This guy wanted to talk and talk. Chance took the girls and CJ to practice. He texted me 30 minutes into practice and stated that the Coach was still talking. Now, mind you these girls are 6. How long do you think they really listened to him? I think they got the Charlie Brown's teacher Wha wha wha wha after the first eight minutes.
Needless to say, two parents have stepped up. One of the parents being the former Coach Nesbitt. LOL. The girls had fun but they LOVE to win. Updates to come on the season.

32 never looked THIS good
This is one of the luxuries of having great genes. I don’t want to brag but I don’t feel my age. Neither do I look it!! This is the first year that I celebrated my birthday away from my hometown, Memphis. I received an overwhelming amount of well wishes. I received a great gift from my hubby. He got me this fabulous Inspiron Duo tablet. My cousin sent me a great contract and gift card (thanks Shina Bina) and my sister in law sent me some DKNY apple perfume (smells absolutely wonderful) and a gift card to my favorite store, OLD NAVY. Two of my neighbors took me out on the town and the day after I got a sinus infection! YAY ME! The bittersweet thing about this birthday is I didn’t have my grandma calling to sing her terrible Happy Birthday song. She was so funny. But she lives in me. She really does. I replay conversations all the time in my head. I also have conversations in my head when I think about picking up the phone and calling her. She had some advice. Most of the advice is still useful and some was off the wall. At the end of the day, my Grandma was the BEST.
32 years old. WOW. The best is yet to come and if you know me, I will change with the wind (my appearance, not my personality).

January 1, 2012...So far
Well, today was a lazy (not really) day for me. I am not feeling this Missouri thing. Maybe it's me (it is) but I am not adjusting well. I do not miss Memphis (I miss my friends and family) but right now, I am not feeling this. Usually when I need a release, I can go somewhere. Chance (tries to) take the children (which doesn't last long) outside (supposedly) to give me a break. But because I have turned my hobby into a business, I do not know what a break is. You know when you are a mother, you want your children to go and spend time 'away' from home to give them a chance to miss them...I have not had that in a LONG time. I have literally been on locked down since November 18, 2010.
November 18, 2010 is when I was placed on bedrest with CJ. This is hard for people to see and understand. In due time, things will get better. I GUARANTEE THAT!
Until next Sunday...
Peace and Blessinigs

Merry New Year 2012::Toast to Me
Me, well, I am over the house wife role. I do not think anyone feels me. But it is what it is. I lost my grandmother in November. Her health declined so rapidly. The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to tell her goodbye. Just typing this pains me so much. Christmas was so hard for me. I can never call MY birth mother and ask her what I need to use "instead of". If I did, she would say, "call moma and ask her".
Oh yea, speaking of that, Cynthia (my birth mother) got married AFTER my grandmother passed on. This gentleman, according to my mother, is someone she has always known. Ummmm. I have only been gone since May and before I left, she was dated this other gentleman named "Grasshopper". You know what sitting here blogging has given me A GREAT IDEA!!!Hmmm. Just know that my upbringing has got me to where I am today and I AM NOT A PRODUCT OF MY ENVIRONMENT! :)
MERRY NEW YEAR! I thank GOD for the blessings in the past and are grateful for the things to come!

July 2011

Since moving to Missouri (the Zoo), we have met a lot of people. July 3rd. We had a block party with the people from the neighborhood. This was an interesting day. Chiane told me about the event but I am not the social butterfly (at first). I have to feel people out. Chiane insisted by getting one of the neighbors, Laura, to write me a letter detailing the event. So I obliged by stating that we will contribute baked beans and juice. The block party went well despite the "military bombs" created by the adult "children". My nice neighbors bought dry ice from the local supermarket and made their rendition of fireworks. They took pieces of dry ice and placed them in a water bottle. They then poured water into the bottle and placed the top back onto the bottle. As the scurried away, the nice bottle blows up and also placed a hole in the area. This was done throughout the night. The night before, Earl, one of the neighbors was excited to explain that every year, they make a rocket bottle peg board. He takes a 4X4 plank board with holes in it and fill the holes with bottle rockets. This dude lit the board with two matches and the bottle rockets flew EVERYWHERE! Other than these and other insane firework tactics, my neighbors are cool.
My girls LOVE the Delgados. Their family consists of three handsome boys and their parents, Laura and Greg. They moved about a month ago from Nevada. Greg work s the third shift like Nesbitt and Laura is looking for a teaching job at the moment. Their oldest is 7 and the youngest is 4. They are pretty cool to hang with but I don't know how she has the patience to be the hangout house (hats off to Laura). As the week goes on, I will try to blog often. My laptop died so I have to use Nesbitt's.
